Compare the Flexible and Rigid Bottoms

PermaSeal Containers are available with either flexible vinyl bottoms or rigid bottom made from PETG plastic.  Bottoms are inserted into the tubes and utilize a permanent adhesive which attaches them to the tube.

In contrast, the rigid bottom insert's shorter lip yields more storage space inside the finished tube, which may benefit the retail package. The rigid bottom insert also weighs less than the flexible bottom insert.

Flexible bottoms are manufactured from vinyl plastisol and maintain elastic type properties.  The lip on the flexible bottom is slightly longer than the rigid bottom which adds weight and strength to the container, but decreases the interior space of the container by a small amount.  Flexible bottoms are ideal for heavy or sharp items like drill bits or tools with sharp points.

Rigid bottoms are made from PETG, a recyclable and FDA approved plastic material.  These rigid bottoms are the ideal material for most retail packaging applications as they feature excellent clarity, light weight and other characteristics important to retailers.
