Material Thickness
Clamshells are available in material thicknesses ranging from .007 inches to .047 inches. Typically, sheet thickness less than 1.5 mm (0.060 inches) is considered thin gauge. A typical heavy gauge thickness is greater than 3 mm (0.120 inches)
